Subliminal Artists' Statements, 1995
Recordings of “Artist Statements” from artists participating in a group exhibition were subliminally embedded into the “Top 10” pop songs the week prior to the opening of the show (as listed in Billboard magazine). The final audio, played through the course of the exhibition, was Gary Cannone’s contribution to the show. A professional voice-over artist and professional sound engineer were hired to produce the work.
